Hi sons. Thank you for letting me share my story. It does help to get it off my chest.
My anxiety is through the roof sometimes. I can feel it in my chest like a heavy ache. I do my best to manage it on a daily basis and taking time out just to breath and relax really works for me.
The most important thing to manage my mental health, is to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
What I find also works for me personally is to keep calm and balance my wellbeing with productive things that help me feel connected.
Also personal development like mindfulness and mindset. And helping others.
Family is very important to me, so I call them often. Though some bridges are hard to rebuild.
So I have to let go and accept that things will work out if I do the next right thing.
Do I suffer from anxiety YES – Catastrophising YES – Self-destruction YES – Traumatic memories of domestic violence YES.
I do my best not to allow that to affect me today by gaining strength from the experience, and try to learn from my mistakes.
We can’t change the wind but we can adjust the sails.
